All this week in Sandwich film crews have been making a new Walkers advert. Loads of stars have been involved including JLS, Jensen Button, Marco Pierre-White, Al Murray, Gary Linneker, Frank Lampard and Pamela Anderson. We popped over on Friday to look at what was going on just as Pamela was about to shoot a scene. We stood with the Paparazzi and got a few pictures.
Dear Alan and Thomas,
On behalf of all of us at Betteshanger Brass Band I would like to say a massive thank-you to you and Thomas for taking our promotional
photographs. Getting 30 or so brass musicians, ranging in age from 12 to 86 years old, organised should be a bit of a nightmare but your enthusiasm, understanding and calm professionalism made the whole event an enjoyable experience.
This was done on a night when we were very busy with a film crew who were recording us playing for use in the TV commercial for ‘The Music
Lives On’ CD. Despite this you were patient and worked around the film crew to produce some outstanding photographs. The interesting thing is that you have somehow managed to capture the spirit and character of the individual band members and I have no idea how you managed to do that. Not everyone likes to have their photograph taken and yet there is no hint of shyness or awkwardness in
any of the photos. In fact you cleverly blended into the background so that we were generally unaware of your presence and you were able to
get some amazing candid shots which came as a pleasant surprise when we first saw them.
We were also very pleased with the funny shots you took which were something we would never have thought of in a million years. These
have turned the ‘players’ page of our website into something a bit different from the norm and we are very pleased with the result.
We will certainly use Dover Design again and would recommend you without hesitation to anyone wanting a top quality, value for money,
photographic service.

It snowed here overnight – by UK standards quite a lot. The US branch of the family have told us that it was only a dusting but it was significant for us. When it snows here I always listen to local radio – the only time I do. I heard that the main road that runs from Dover to London was blocked and had been for a number of hours. Given that I didn’t have too much to do I decided to set off on foot to find out what was going on. After a fair walk passing miles of queuing traffic I arrived at the cause of the problem. A lorry had partially gone off the road and got stuck. When I arrived on the scene the recovery teams were just winching it out. I took a few pictures and headed for home. I sent my pictures to a number of news agencies and one of them was used.

I received a very nice email last night that I would like to share.
Dear Alan and Thomas
We just wanted to say another massive thank you – you are both truly amazing and captured every single moment of our wedding day perfectly, we wanted someone photographing our wedding who would ideally stay in the background as we both hate having our picture taken but strangely enough we actually ended up enjoying having them taken – thank you, thank you, thank you – this is a miracle.
You only have to look at the photos to show what talent you both have and how much you enjoy doing it – we really cannot believe we found you and we thank our lucky stars that our original photographer canceled! You are both lovely people and we are so glad that you were part of our special day, thank you for making it so perfect – so many of the guests commented on how great you both were.
You made us feel at ease from the moment we met you at the wedding rehearsal when we were both getting so nervous and you were great with the children on the day and we did not even notice half of the pictures being taken. The photobooth in the evening was fantastic and a real talking point afterwards – everyone thought it was great! I cannot believe the bride and groom could not manage to get there together – 240 photographs and not one of us together – we are useless!
You got the photos to us so quickly and you did the photobook so quickly too – even though I came back to you a thousand times you stayed so patient professional and kind. The photobook is amazing I can take it everywhere with me and show people rather than carting lots of photos around with me.
The photos arrived on disc which were amazing but the icing on the cake was the slideshow you put together for us with our first dance music in the background – we absolutely love it and such a wonderful surprise – thank you.
I truly hope that you stay busy forever – you really deserve it – I want to go to every wedding fair and tell every bride that they should have Dover Design Photography there as it will make their wedding perfect. Such value for money – I would honestly have paid double what you charged us for the service we received – that is honestly true.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and you really have gone above and beyond our expectations.
