Dover Design Photography - Kent Wedding Photographers

The dress is back in the box the champagne is flat and the food has gone - what do you have left from your big day? Obviously your partner but also a fantastic set of pictures that will retell your story time after time.

I am Alan Langley and with my son Thomas we are Dover Design Photography, Kent Wedding Photographers and we would love to be part of your celebration.

Your wedding day is arguably the most special of your life and we would love the opportunity to capture the feel and atmosphere in a creative unobtrusive way. Our style is simple and laid back but we do enjoy doing staged group shots too. With two of us available for the whole day we shouldn't miss a moment!

From our first meeting with you we will work with to deliver a service exceeding your requirements.

I am always happy to answer your questions via the blog, email, phone or face to face.

We are members of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers.

Joe McNally

On Friday we were lucky enough to attend the Joe McNally’s workshop arranged by Kelby training at the Islington Design Centre.

You can see his blog entry about it here:

Joe is a real natural in front of an audience and it was an informative, entertaining day. I still remain unconvinced about CLS! If you get the chance to attend one of his workshops I would definitely recommend it – we had a great time!!

Vintage Photobooth

Alongside the standard photobooth, we are in the process of creating a vintage style photobooth. Remember the strips of 4 photos from back in the day? We’re aiming to be able to recreate them for you, but with high quality digital photos which you can print at any requested size, as well as using them online!

Here’s a quick sample for you:

Photobooth – Kent Wedding Photographers.

I thought I would take a minute to explain our ‘Photobooth’ service as it always generates questions from potential customers.

We call it a booth but it isn’t really – sorry to start confusing you already! We use a Lastolite HiLite which is a large pop-up self supporting background that enables us to take pictures with a white or black background. We also use studio lights to generate beautifully lit studio quality portraits. At a wedding we normally try and set up discreetly whilst you are having your meal.

Once set up we can take individual or group shots as serious or as fun as you like! It is also a great opportunity for getting those extra shots of friends and relatives that you don’t often see.

After the event we supply digital copies of all shots to the bride and groom but also make prints available from out online ordering system at very competitive prices.

We don’t just restrict the ‘Photobooth’ to our Weddings we are keen to attend proms, parties or corporate events or even Weddings where the contracted photographer does not offer this service. Obviously subject to the other photographer agreeing – we really don’t want to upset anyone! Prices start from around £300

So if you are interested or have any questions please feel free to get in touch.

Carly and Ashley – Pre-Wedding shoot.

We are lucky enough to be photographing Carly and Ashley’s wedding on the 4th September at Howfield Manor. We met for a pre-wedding shoot at Toddlers Cove in Canterbury and spent a pleasant hour or so taking pictures and chatting about the wedding plans.

I am delighted with the results and really looking forward to their big day.
