A different approach to actor headshots.

 

 

I take pictures of literally thousands of people each year – photographing people is what I do and what I do well. I take wedding photographs and love every aspect of the job but specifically being able to document and record the emotion of a very special day. What, I hear you ask, does this have to do with actor headshots?? Loads – I make my living looking for emotion and atmosphere and capturing those moments. I can include a professional make-up artist in my package because we are going to be investing a lot of time and money in getting your perfect pictures, so naturally you want to look your best. Would you appear on TV without professional make-up? The MUA will also be available through the session to ensure you are looking your best and to change looks as required.

Location? My preference would be to come to you or to use a convenient location but we can also use my headshot studio. If you are a member of a theatre group or dance academy then perhaps we could use one of their studios? Experience tells me that people are more natural and relaxed in familiar environments. I also prefer to work inside as I then have full control of the lighting. I know loads of other headshot photographers use natural light but this is another area where I am different.

What do you get? I will upload your images to a web gallery you are then able to select your favourites. I take this selection (normally around 20) and process them and supply you with a link to download low resolution internet versions of the pictures.  You can order prints directly from your web gallery.

Black and white or colour? I take pictures in colour, I look at the world in colour, I watch TV in colour, I think you know what is coming!! I present all of your images in colour – this is 2012 but for the traditionalists I am happy to offer black and white versions at no additional cost
